School History & Background
West Homestead opened its doors in 19XX as an elementary school servicing children in the west area of Homestead. Since then, West Homestead is now a full K-8 Center, servicing students in grade pre-K - 8th grade. It became a full K-8 Center in 2016. West Homestead K-8 strives to provide the highest quality education for our diverse community of children and families in order to ensure students academic achievement.
The mission of West Homestead K-8 Center is to improve academic achievement for all learners in all grade levels while instilling core values and the skills necessary to become productive citizens in society.
West Homestead K-8 Center prepares students to successfully complete all facets of 21st century learning in order to become college and career ready through a shared responsibility of students, teachers, staff, parents, and community agencies.
